  • 200g butter

  • 200g chocolate

  • 4 eggs

  • 170g sugar

  • 125g almonds/hazlenuts



  1. Melt broken chocolate and butter together in a large bowl over a pan with simmering water.

  2. Add beaten eggs, sugar and GROUND almonds or hazlenuts and whisk well. Pour into a small buttered and floured cake tin and cook for 30 minutes at 180°C.

  3. Leave 15 minutes and then turn out. Dust with sieved icing sugar and serve with the fruit


Thermomix version

  1. Grind nuts on speed 10 and set aside.

  2. Weigh in chocolate and grind.

  3. Add butter and melt 2 minutes/ 80*C/ speed 1.

  4. Add other ingredients and mix speed 8.

  5. Cook in a small buttered and floured cake tin at 180°C for 30 minutes.

  6. Can serve with diced mango, raspberries or other fruit
