The focus for our blog this week is Mental Health, this problem affects one in four of us, yet people are still afraid to talk about it. Time to Talk Day, was back this month and encourages everyone to talk.

Time To Talk Day first launched in 2014 and it has sparked millions of conversations in schools, homes, workplaces, in the media and online. Our focus this year is to break the silence around mental health problems.

For people with mental health problems, not being able to talk about it can be one of the worst parts of the illness. So by getting people talking about it we can break down stereotypes, improve relationships, aid recovery and take the stigma out of something that affects us all.

Mental illness refers to a wide range of mental health conditions — disorders that affect your mood, thinking and behaviour. Examples of mental illness include depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, eating disorders and addictive behaviours.

Many people have mental health concerns from time to time. But a mental health concern becomes a mental illness when ongoing signs and symptoms cause frequent stress and affect your ability to function.

A mental illness can make you miserable and can cause problems in your daily life, such as at school or work or in relationships. In most cases, symptoms can be managed with a combination of medications and talk therapy (psychotherapy).

How Can Jung Shim Help?

We spoke about Ancestor Healing in our last blog and how people are becoming more interested in researching their family history to see how their lives have been shaped by previous generations.

We inherit our physical features through our genetic make-up, but in the energy system, emotional patterns, ancestor’s life experiences, memories, pain, health issues and even addictions can be imprinted and carried forward to future generations. It is not uncommon that major events or traumas in people’s lives have a similarity to events in their ancestors lives. So these mental health issues could well be something which is passed down through previous generations.

Jung Shim teaches people how to thrive in today's world by tapping into their own 'human energy' source and learning how to renew it in a sustainable way, leading to a healthier and happier life. We understand that our energy levels can be affected by the lifestyle we lead, our physical environment and emotional patterns. Yet, we also believe that people’s energy can be affected by the history and energy of their family.

In our last blog, we touched upon the programme which consists of one or four ceremonies over a four week period, but how does the Ancestor Healing Programme actually work?

How Does Ancestor Healing Work?

The Ancestor Healing programme works on the principle that every person has a body, mind and spirit. That being said, a person’s state, once they have passed away is dictated, by how they have lived their life.  Ancestor Healing is a practice to respect our ancestors and help them to alleviate any pain or suffering accumulated during their lifetime. It enables them to return to the source of all life, where they can exist peacefully, free from attachments and desires connected to the human world, and where they can positively influence
their descendants
 and
the
 generations
to
come.

This is process of clearing inherited or family karma and by partaking in Ancestor Healing  and clearing these inherited energy patterns,  people are then able to brighten their own lives, their spiritual selves  and the energy around them. Ancestor Healing helps to clear blocked or negative energy around the family and following the programme, ancestors can more positively influence and support their descendants.
